I'm still working on those Christmas projects 30 minutes each day, so here's what I got done this week.
Tuesday: I finished the pink pajama top and the bottoms up to the hems on both pieces.
Wednesday: All the hems for the pajamas were done as well as the elastic waist for the bottoms. This set is now done!
Thursday: I cut out the matching robe for my daughter and after laying out all the pieces, I realized that I had enough fabric to also cut out a little fleece vest for my niece. Since I was cutting out the robe anyway, I pulled out a vest pattern and cut the vest, too. The vest is from the same pattern I used for my niece's birthday clothes, Simplicity 2907.
Friday: Today I started the vest because it will need to be mailed out as soon as possible for her to get it in time for Christmas. I was able to make the plackets, stitch the shoulder seams and make the collar today. Monday, I hope to get the armholes bound, the side seams and hem done. That would leave attaching the collar and snaps on Tuesday (another good use for all those snaps!).
We'll see what next week brings. By next Friday that robe should be done, too!Parting Shot: Always In The Act. I can't layout out large pieces of fabric without the fabric princess arriving to put her stamp of approval on it. I prefer to lay out the really big stuff on my rubberized flooring - it helps me to see if I have enough and how to rearrange all the pieces to get everything cut out.

Just curious. When you lay out your fabric on the floor, do you use a rotary cutter or scissors to cut out the pieces? I can not cut out my patterns on the floor. I have to have the fabric up higher so I can stand and cut the pieces.
Whenever I cut out on the floor I get sore gluts - it does give you a workout! The pyjamas are cute - DD should love those.
Sweet jammies!
I think it's the tissue paper. I have to put my cats outside before I cut anything out.
These jammies are adorable! Needless to say I love the fabric.
You have been so productive while I was away from blogs. I'm sorry for not keeping in touch and have certainly missed reading your happy, inspiring posts!
Cute, cute, cute! :)
Yes, my kitties are always eager to lay on any fabric and/or tissue paper that I put on the floor...
